Africa Christian Ministries has been gifted with a six-acre site near Empangeni and the Indian Ocean. ACM is developing a conference center on this site. Land preparation and construction of a small administration building were completed in 1997. The ministry has quickly outgrown these facilities and now looks forward to the next phases of construction. These will include a large lecture hall, two conference rooms, a kitchen and restrooms. The lecture hall will seat up to 150 people and each conference room an additional 40-50 people. The projected cost of this is R3,900,000 (R.S.A.), which is about $900,000 Canadian dollars or $600,000 U.S.
This additional development is critical to the continuing growth of the ministry. Many programs are now limited by weather and lack of space. This facility will allow additional classes and programs to be conducted in a place solely identified with the Lord's work. The conference center is located in an area that is removed from much of the current township violence and crime. Many more individuals and families will feel free to come and hear the gospel.
